losing luster
Blogging has lost it's luster in the Schille house. Call it too busy, call it done with sharing all our personal photos/stories, or... call it what it is... bored with blogging. I still log on to see all of ya'lls blogs, but as for the Schille household, for a while anyway-- blogging has lost its luster.

Christmas Blur
It's all a blur. This years' weeks before Christmas is all fuzzy, and flew by. We have been busy shopping, baking, creating, and visiting. But somehow, in typical Schille fashion, not a photo has been taken. But, nonetheless, we saw a darling Emma singing "I want a hippopotomas for Christmas" at her school Christmas program, attended class parties, made gingerbread houses, completed a science project, and will attempt a massive batch of yummy cookies today.
My new years' resolution may be to take more pictures next year. The girls are growing like weeds, and Mya may be able to share clothes with me in the next few years {gasp}!
But for now, we are axiously anticipating the annual Christmas Eve bash at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and the girls are inspecting all the gifts under the tree daily. They have their door hangers to check off all their "must do's" before Santa comes, and the anticipation is almost more than the girls can handle. Hopefully some pics will be available to post soon! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Thanksgiving treat!
This year, not only are we thankful for our new house, healthy bodies, secure jobs, and the closeness of our families, but we are thankful this year that Grandma Lin came out to spend the long weekend with us! The girls were treated to a whole day of crafting, and a weekend of laughs. We shopped, we dined, we visited, and we all spent Thanksgiving together at Mom & Dad's with a movie after the feast. The 4 days flew by in a flash, and we can't wait for the next long holiday. Thanks Grandma Lin for making the trip!

7 Years old!!
Emma Jane. My baby girl. This little ball of fire keeps us on our toes! She is witty, emotional, independent, stylish, determined, funny, and sweet as can be. This year she opted for a celebration with just our little family, and I think I prefer to celebrate that way, rather than a big birthday bash with kids running all over!
This is my girl. My baby. Growing up, way too fast. Emma is 7, and I can't stop time!!

The night before her birthday, we headed out, just us girls, for a "last night of being 6" dinner. We giggled and had fun!

I have a hard time believing that she is 7 already. My little baby. 7 sounds so big, so much more than the little toddlers that I see running all over. She is growing up so quickly, with so many talents showing their stuff. She is an artist. She is creative. She is incredibly funny. She is tender hearted and emotional. She knows what she wants. This girl has it all going for her. Love my little Emma Jane!
Halloween!!
Halloween was a bit of a downer, being on a Monday night this year... I would be first in line to sign a petition to make Halloween on the last Saturday of October... just so we can make it an all day & night event! We did our best, though!
My friend Cortnee and I got in on the fun, dressing up at Roller Derby girls (minus the roller skates)
Here is the group of kiddos ready to head out to collect the loot!

They all had more candy than any person should have at one time... they are all set in the candy department for the next year!
A Carving Kind of Night
This year we decided to pick just two BIG pumpkins to carve. It took all night to clean out, design, and carve these Jack-O's. But they turned out super cute! The Schille household is now ready for Halloween!

Minnesota Quick Trip
This year's trip to Minnesota was very quick, thanks to my school schedule... we were there for only three nights, two days. BUT... we packed it full of fun. As usual, not many pics were taken, because we were too busy!
Who couldn't love Fall in Minnesota? Cool air, just enough for a sweatshirt, geese, ducks, and turkeys roaming the parks, and a little time in the late morning to stroll the park with a warm cup of coffee. A litte piece of heaven!
Havin' a little fun with the camera while enjoying the Fall weather.
Before the game, we had some time at Pickle Park with all of "the boys" (Don's buddies) for lunch, drinks and LOTS of pull tabs. Good thing they aren't legal here, or I'd be broke! ;)
When we arrived at the game, this is what the crowd looks like in the metrodome... Example one why the Vikings need a new stadium!
